Rivayat is a coastal-inspired Indian restaurant located in downtown Charleston, opened by award-winning restaurateur Sujith Varghese, known for Spice Palette in Mount Pleasant. The restaurant pays homage to the bold, seafood-forward flavors of India’s coastal regions, especially Kerala, blending traditions with local Charleston seafood.​

Rivayat’s menu features South Indian staples, North Indian classics, and new dishes utilizing fresh local catch—signature items include lobster mole in coconut sauce and an array of regional curries and tandoori specialties.
